The Porirua Library is located on the corner of Norrie and Parumoana Streets. The entrances are from Norrie Street or the lane next to Harvey Normans.
Free parking is available in the Te Rauparaha Arena carpark, or on the streets around the library.
Porirua City operates one central library in the Porirua Central Business District, and five branch libraries at Cannons Creek, Plimmerton, Pukerua Bay, Titahi Bay and Whitby. The library holds an extensive and current collection of books and magazines as well as a range of other items.
Collections held in the Porirua Library include comprehensive Genealogy and Maori/Pacific Island collections as well as DVDs, CDs, best-sellers and large print books.
