Throughout May and June every visitor that sticks their green thumb out to catch the bus to the Zoo will be rewarded with half price entry for the day.
Just hang on to your GO Wellington or Valley Flyer ticket, show it at the counter inside the Zoo and a day of animal fun will cost just you $9 for an adult and $4.50 for children. You will also gain half price entry if you travel here using your Snapper card, Gold Pass or Super Gold Card, and the promotion is open to students and seniors.
And, as an added extra, you’ll walk home with a nice warm fuzzy feeling because your decision to leave the car at home has helped improve the local environment in Wellington.
Wellington Zoo is a magical place of learning and fun, leaving visitors with a sense of wonder and respect for nature, and a belief in the need for a sustainable co-existence between wildlife and people.
Wellington Zoo is home to New Zealand’s native treasures and endangered exotic animals. Get up close and personal with wildlife including a range of extraordinary native birds and reptiles. Wellington Zoo is committed to a future in conservation education by bringing animals and people closer together.
If you’re keen for a truly unique animal experience, try a Close Encounter and interact with cheetahs, red pandas, giraffes and many more engaging animals.
