Kawakawa Bay has one of the best boat ramp facilities in Auckland, you have two ramps to choose from – a public ramp and the Boat club ramp which has pontoons and a breakwater. From the Bay you have quick access to great fishing spots in the Firth of Thames, Western Coromandel and Ponui and Waitemata Harbour.
The ramps can be very popular over Holiday periods and can get congested at times so be sure to bring a sense of humor and some patience with you if you visit on those days.
