The Herald Theatre seats 186 people, allowing an intimate theatre experience. The Herald Theatre is self-contained with its own bar area and larger foyer space for pre- or post-theatre functions.

Located beside the stage door of the Aotea Centre, with easy access from Mayoral Drive, the Herald Theatre has become a vital Auckland home for small independent theatre companies.

Herald Theatre is a Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) venue.
