This pioneer museum takes you back in time. Housed in an historical cottage, the old Helensville Schoolhouse and the old Helensville Courthouse on the River Reserve, the museum is located at the southern entrance to the town.
The emphasis is to portray as many aspects of life in the South Kaipara district as possible so to bring to life the trials, tribulations and successes of the settlers of the district.
Our Mission: To promote, understand, and preserve the history and heritage of the district, and its intrinsic values. Our past is our future.
