Who Cares House

Reefton Who Cares is a group of interested individuals who gather together to help fill some of this community’s needs. We began in 1986 and were originally housed in the Gateway Building on Buller Road, but as our services expanded we found ourselves scattered over three different sites. We are now at 14 Mace Street, Reefton—a warm, inviting house—and our services are all under one roof.

We presently employ three part-time community workers and a part-time office administrator. Supporting them is a voluntary management committee who meet monthly to oversee the services. Who Cares tries to bring something positive to everyone in our community. It is our aim to benefit this community by providing assistance which no-one else caters for. As needs are brought to our attention, we do our best to address them.
