A unique collection of memorabilia compiled by historian and teacher Pat Gaitely, dating from the 1863 Battle of Rangiriri. Enter through the tearooms with home cooked fare. The collection is housed in the tearooms and adjacent theatrette. View the 10 or 20 minute DVD audio visual of the Battle of Rangiriri in the theatrette for $2.00 per person.
Visit the cemetery opposite where the soldiers and many Maori were buried. You can also visit the site of the battle nearby, just off State Highway One.
