Welcome to Methven, where the mountains meet the plains. The Methven Heritage Centre opened in April 2010 and is a new facility which incorporates conference facilities, art gallery, a visitor attraction, Methven i-site and the Heritage Cafe.

The Heritage Centre offers a range of meeting and conference spaces. From an executive meeting, to training weekends, intimate dinners or large concerts in the auditorium, the Centre is perfect for all your event needs. A stunning venue for weddings and conferences this venue with its amazing mountain views is one to remember. With space for 5 to 435 people, the Methven Heritage Centre is your ideal venue. To make your event one to remember you can incorporate use of the NZ Alpine and Agriculture Encounter or Art Gallery as break out spaces for an amazing place for drinks and canapes.
New Zealand’s Alpine and Agriculture Encounter
The Encounter tells the stories of the mountains, plains and the people who live there, bringing to life the tales of the tenacity and ingenuity behind the development of two very important industries central to New Zealand - snow sports and agriculture.
Climb into a header cab, operate an excavator or see how milk is made. Experience being in an ice-cave or laugh at the antics of our early Kiwi skiers. Tickets can be purchased on-site.
The Methven Heritage Centre’s art gallery features prominent artists from around the region. Free entry and exhibitions every month you are always guaranteed a great visit. The collections vary, from stunning landscapes to thought provoking abstracts, all for sale at the Methven Heritage Centre.
