Brew On Quay

Brew on Quay is the latest project from the Brew boys. 3 boys (actually men by age, but boys in every other sense), who have been friends/drinking buddies for a very very long while. With a background in the hospitality industry by trade, and the brew industry by passion, the Brew boys wanted to create a bar with a point of difference. Focusing on great atmosphere, ambience, fine food and the best brews from around the world.

These three friends, have put in hours and hours of dedicated 'research' to the brewery industry. Taking their jugs and vessels around the world to be filled with the finest brews, all in the name of dedicated background investigations. The boys have travelled from Amsterdam to Germany, from Kaitaia to the Bluff, to source what they believe is the finest selection of brews this world has to offer. For that we can only commend their commitment and thank them for suffering hang overs, partial blindness and next day extreme dehydration, all the name of research.

With the décor of Brew on Quay changing from room to room, the boys wanted to attract every type of brew consumer, not just the typical kiwi bloke in his stubbies, though this man is hugely welcomed into the fold. They also wanted to attract the business man, the lunching lady, the party princess and the group of friends out for a fun night. Due to laws of the city, Brew on Quay does have a dress code and a no jandal policy, however the brew boys guarantee to break this law and bring you an annual stubbies and jandals night, in honour of the brew drinking lads that roam this fair country.

With Brew on Quay’s close proximity to the Vector arena, the boys wanted to create a place that was the meeting joint for all concert goers, providing them with tasty morsels of filling food and a selection of beers and wines that caters for all taste buds. To send their patrons off to watch Coldplay (or whatever you may fancy) with happiness in their hearts, and welcome them back afterwards with open arms, to fill up on more brew.

Brews point of difference also comes in the form of its roof top bar. Or ‘topless’ as the boys so like to call her. The only one of its kind in Auckland, the rooftop bar offers an ambience all of its own. To sit on the roof and have a brew with friends under the night stars can either be romantic or just plain fun, to throw water bombs on unsuspecting passers by can be even more fun (though highly illegal and not recommended by any one of the brew boys).
