The most successful reinvigoration for our love of beer has been bolstered further with the creation of the new Mac’s Brewbar in Kingsland.

‘The Neighbourhood’ is the newest kid on the Kingsland block and has opened with a hiss and a roar, following in the footsteps of the four older and much-loved brewbars in Auckland, Wellington and Nelson.

Neighbourhood is no ordinary city fringe bar, taking the finest pieces from each of the brew bars before it and adding a new element of quirkiness, Neighbourhood delivers an outstanding venue able to host over 200 patrons at its peak times across the lounge, private function room and extensive courtyard area.

Owners Mark Keddell and Justin Howse have wanted to set up a bar in Kingsland for sometime. However they didn’t get the chance until an old garage and engineering shop became available. They grabbed it and one year later they've opened a bar in the heart of Kingsland which is set to become the heart of the neighbourhood . . . and everyone's invited over.

Neighbourhood will carry on the personality established by the first brewbars to celebrate the craft of beer with the full range of Mac’s beers available on tap include the seasonal releases. All tap beer is served at the perfect temperature and with the perfect pour, don’t hesitate to ask your friendly bar tender or waiter to match a beer with your choice from a menu rich with options from easy to share platters through to hearty mains.

Whether it’s for lunch, after work drinks or a Sunday session, the sun drenched outdoor area is the perfect place for you and your friends to nestle in for a beer and a bite to eat. Don’t be a stranger, head on down. Its easy to love thy neighbour when you choose the right neighbourhood.
