• "THANKS FOR COMING Wanganui Festival of Glass was a great success this year, with Glass Artists reporting double the sales of 2008 and the twice as much glass was sold at the Festival of Glass Information Centre at 148 Victoria Avenue sponsored by PSIS. 2880 visitors recorded, 300 filled out the Visitor Survey, results so far show 51% out of town and 49% locals. 89% reported wonderful experience at the Festival. A successful partnership was formed with the Literary Festival The Wanganui Glass 2009 Exhibition at the Sarjeant Gallery was well attended Glass Artists Forum by American Glass Artist Josh Simpson was best attended for 2009 The Inspiring Windows Self guided tour, 450 people visited the 11 churches open 100 for Council Chambers talks by artists, Greg Hall and Julie Greig on the Wanganui Story in Stained Glass. The Camera Club Exhibition at the Community Arts Centre Taupo Quay recorded 780 visitors including 500 locals 200 visitors Jazz Café at the Rutland Arms I"
