Petula Clark Brings "You And I" to New Zealand

Petula Clark will be appearing in New Zealand with her solo show, You And I - An Intimate Evening with Petula Clark in October 2010.  A delightful two-hour show with one of the most accomplished leading ladies in showbiz with great hits including "Downtown", "I Know A Place", "My Love", "Colour My World", "A Sign Of The Times", "Don't Sleep in The Subway", "This Is My Song", her concert is not to be missed.

With more gold albums to her credit than any other British artist and total world record sales in excess of 68 million, film and music star Petula Clark is one of the most sought-after recording artists and concert personalities in the world today.  She is in constant demand with lead roles in major theatrical productions such as "Sound Of Music, "Blood Brothers" and "Sunset Boulevard".  In 1998, Clark was honoured by Queen Elizabeth II by being made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and the subject of several BBC-TV documentaries.

Tickets go on sale August 9th for Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North, Christchurch and Hamilton.

    Thoroughly loved the show in Auckland. For a woman past her mid-70s (and...I was absolutely staggered to learn this fact!) this lady truly deserves her title of Superstar. She was warm and witty and had the moves and agility of someone 50yrs her junior! I have loved many of her songs and her appeal was evident by the wide expanse of ages in the audience! She performed a variety of songs, enthralling us with tales of the many, many people she has had the pleasure of meeting and performing with throughout her long career. She justly received a standing ovation, and I have to say that I left the venue actually feeling like I'd just enjoyed an "intimate" evening with Petula Clark - a class act!
