Huge Turnout for Cuba St Carnival
There was dancing in the streets of Wellington last weekend as over 100,000 people turned out for the festivities at the sixth Cuba St Carnival sponsored by Go Wellington. The event ran smoothly as the crowds moved around the different entertainment throughout the day. Organiser Chris Morley-Hall said it was the biggest Carnival yet. ‘Everything at Cuba St Carnival is free and we spend over a year trying to create the best entertainment possible, so we were especially pleased it was such a great sunny day and people could really enjoy themselves.’
