The 'Fourtune Quartet' blends a rich tapestry of emotional and simple melodies to a jazz setting.
Saxophonist Toby Barrett has worked on a series of compositions experimenting with minimalist techniques and lavish harmonic depth. Alongside these originals the quartet will also be playing modern jazz tunes by artists that inspire the band. The four members are Miles Boersmans on piano, Tyler Diprose on bass, Finn McNeill on drums and Toby Barrett on saxophones.
The 'Fourtune Quartet' invite you all to an evening of modern jazz that they have been working on through their time studying at Auckland University. The concert on 13th February at the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club will be their debut performance.
Toby Barrett and Tyler Diprose will be best known to club members as part of 'Toby and the Rest' who played several times at the club over the past three years
