K-Jazz Orchestra is a 15 piece Big Band, started with the intention of promoting jazz, a genre that is relatively under-represented, in the Korean community. We cover a wide range of different styles, from the traditional Basie-like swing to more modern charts from Goodwin and Mann. Also features a few of our own arrangements of Korean songs in big band style.
Our band has a mixture of jazz majors, classical majors, hobby musicians, high school students, and teachers. We hope to showcase a variety of big band music that everyone can enjoy.
