Following their sold-out season at the NZ International Comedy Festival, numerous Auckland Festivals, and the New Zealand Improv Festival in Wellington, the smash-hit Dungeons and Dragons comedy show returns to The PumpHouse Theatre for a very special one-off show for Auckland Pride, suitable for young and old adventurers aged 8 and over.

Want to experience Dungeons & Dragons without doing all that math? Is watching a wizard fight a shapeshifting dragon on your Must-See list? Then Can I Get an Underground Location and a Mythical Creature? is for you! Experience an improvised, fantasy adventure entirely made up on the spot and controlled by the dice, this time with a special Pride theme!

This show is the creation of theatre troupe Improverished, who have specialised in joyful improvised shows since their beginning in 2015. This isn’t a show where you watch people play D&D - this is a show where you watch characters themselves in a D&D story. Follow along for a tale filled with adventure and surprise, with the hero’s fates in the hands of the dice and the audience. Whether you’ve played D&D since you were five, only know it from watching Stranger Things or just enjoy improv and laughter - come along!

Every ticket purchased goes towards ensuring The PumpHouse can continue to thrive as a Queer-friendly arts space, and to the incredible team at Improverished who continue to provide a whole lot of joy to our community!

“Highly entertaining, with the troupe eliciting raucous laughter and genuine investment in this short-lived story.” – Theatrescenes

Run Time: 60min, no interval

Suitable for ages 8+
