The PumpHouse is located in Killarney Park on the shore of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, Auckland and is made up of three unique performance spaces:
The PumpHouse Theatre a 190 seat end stage theatre.
The PumpHouse Ampiheatre an out door theatre for up to 200 people.
The PumpHouse Coal Bunker a back stage studio space for small events.
The PumpHouse is administered by The North Shore Theatre and Arts Trust and run by a small multi skilled team of theatre professionals. The venue operates as a programmed venue for hire for the performing arts and other types of staged events.
The theatre calendar offers diverse fare ranging from plays, musicals, dance, traditional outdoor Summer Shakespeare, stand-up comedy and concerts to psychic mediums, book launches and motivational speakers. Some well-known Kiwi thespians got their first taste of performing live on stage at The PumpHouse.
