This May, the Nelson Regional Development Agency invites you to join us for a social media workshop with Kyle Mulinder, the friendly face behind Bare Kiwi. Kyle is one of New Zealand's leading social media influencers, and a highly skilled content creator. He has worked with a variety of Regional Tourism Organisations and tourism operators around the country and the world, and works with many high profile brands such as GoPro, Macpac and Ford NZ. We are excited to have him host a workshop here in Nelson Tasman, the place he calls home.

This 4 hour workshop will cover:
- An overview of how social media works and what the different platforms are best used for
- The best practices to follow when using social media as a business
- Sharing of statistics and facts about social media as learned through working with companies such as Visit California, GoPro and Meta
- How to work with Content Creators and Influencers to ensure a good return of investment
- Demonstrating how to capture both photo and video content using only a cellphone as well how to edit this content using only free apps
- Sharing tips on how to post content in order to gain better reach and engagement

It doesn't matter whether you're new to the digital world or if you're looking to sharpen your skills and learn some new tricks, this is a great opportunity for tourism operators with social media marketing experience at any level.

Morning tea and refreshments will be provided.

Note:
- Attendees from last years workshop may be wondering if the content is the same. What Kyle spoke about last year will be quickly re-capped, but the idea for this workshop is for it to be more hands-on, with a focus on helping you learn how to create and edit content. Bring your phones!
- Although the focus of this workshop is the tourism industry, many learnings can be applied across businesses in any industry, so don't be discouraged from attending if you don't work in the visitor sector.
- This event is held in Motueka, however if a Nelson event would suit you better, the same workshop will be held at Rutherford Hotel Nelson the day prior. Please search our other event listings to purchase tickets to the alternate location as tickets cannot be exchanged due to venue capacity limits.
