When you hear Axe and shield it’s hard not to think about Vikings! Very similar to the sword and shield however it has its own advantages and disadvantages. All this you will find out when you come and play with us.
During this 2 day holiday program you will learn some basic attack and blocks & progress to some super fun and engaging fight choreography using a Viking axe & shield
Fun and safe, this stage combat programme for ages 7+ will teach you unarmed and armed stage combat techniques as you practice a choreographed Viking battle.
Founded by Alexander James Holloway, The New Zealand Stage Combat School aims to deliver top quality training to performers and stage combat enthusiasts alike. After completing his BA HONS at East 15 drama school, Alexander worked on the West End and in London as a professional fight choreographer and or fighter for many years. Inspired by great films like Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit Alexander moved to New Zealand to share his expertise in Stage Combat and Alexander now teaches at some of the best theatres and drama schools in New Zealand.
