Two-day holiday programme for children aged 8 - 12 years.
Kids! Learn puppeteering with a professional puppeteer and entertainer who trained with the Sesame Street pros! You'll explore different styles of puppetry and develop a unique puppet character.
Choose your favourite type of puppet and develop a character to perform to the rest of the group at the end of the course in a professional puppet theatre!
Tutor Lucy McCammon, from Act One Productions, is an actor and children’s entertainer with a passion for puppets. She has studied Muppet style puppetry with Sesame Street’s Peter Linz and has worked as a puppeteer on 'Custard’s World: Mission Control Kids' and as a live puppeteer at Auckland's Whoa! Studios.
Your early paid enrolment is appreciated to help meet minimum numbers for the workshop to go ahead and to ensure we can give adequate notice to parents and tutors if a class needs to be cancelled.
What children must bring:
Children staying all day are supervised at break times. Please make sure children bring-
A packed lunch and water bottle.
No highly-sugared drinks or lollies please.
Sunscreen, hat and a warm jumper.
No child of any age attending a holiday programme will have access to purchase food at the cafe. Parents/Caregivers may purchase and provide food for their child BEFORE the programme begins. The cafe is closed on Mondays.
All tutors are fully vaccinated
All children 12 years+ and all parents must present a valid my vaccine pass.
Parents are invited to a short performance at the end of day two.
Please note refunds are at the discretion of the management and will generally only be issued if the event is cancelled or there is a health concern.
