Join Go Eco for A night in Frankton, at our inaugural Craftivism Zine and Badge making night.
Protest art, zines, badges and posters are used to express our ideas, challenge others, give a sense of collectivism and change the public narrative.
A zine (pronounced zeen) is an independently or self-published booklet, often created by physically cutting and gluing text and images together onto a master flat for photocopying, but it is also common to produce the master by typing and formatting pages on a computer. The publication is usually folded and stapled.
Experienced zinesters and newbies are welcome. There’s no ‘right way’ of doing this - craftivism is just a fun way to express yourself and influence others.
We will provide some materials but encourage you to bring what you need and more to share.
Any zines or badges left over may be displayed or sold in our shop - if you have zines to donate or would like to sell please get in contact with sandra@goeco.org.nz.
Koha for materials appreciated.
