Towards a Possum Free Taranaki
Presenter: Tess O’Malley, University of Auckland
University of Auckland PhD student Tess O’Malley shares her leading research into the little known field of possum behaviour at very low densities. Her thesis centres on an ambitious ‘zero possum’ management project, which forms part of Taranaki Regional Council’s Predator Free 2050 program. The project aims to remove all possums around the Kaitake Ranges, presenting a new era in predator control.
