Artists In Eden Day: POSTPONED

Every year this popular community event brings around 40 contemporary artists into the heart of Mt Eden to paint "live" in front of the mountain Maungawhau.

Their completed artworks can be bid for at the end of the event in a much-anticipated live auction. Other entertainment throughout the day includes live music by jazz ensemble Nairobi Trio, children's art activities, a raffle prize by Stanley Palmer, two collaborative artist sketch books and other special projects.

Come and join us in celebrating over 30 years in the park along with regular participants such as artists Peata Larkin, George Baloghy, Simon Williams, Claudia Pond Eyley, John Horner and Belinda Griffiths, as well as newer faces including Krystie Wade, Sena Park and Rhea Maheshwari. Auction 2.30pm rain or shine! Proceeds help to fund Eden Arts Trust's community arts projects through the year. Our rain venue is the Mt Eden Village Community Centre on Ngauruhoe Street. The many fine eateries in Mt Eden will be open all day to tempt your taste buds as you ponder the art being created before your very eyes!
