Waihoanga Centre

The Waihōanga Centre is a peaceful, secluded retreat centre, sleeping up to 40 people, overlooking the Otaki River, just over an hour from Wellington or 45 minutes from Palmerston North.

The Waihōanga Centre offers a wonderful environment to meet, explore ideas, deepen knowledge and simply relax.

Four hectares of organically maintained land developed along permaculture lines over the last 15 years with a focus on creating a natural, sustainable environment. Features include a meandering stream, large trees, native bush (including many nikau and punga).

Enjoy the stunning river - great for swimming, rafting and kayaking, the beautiful waterfall, the glow worms; the bird life (especially the tuis) and the glorious night sky full of stars on a clear night.
