Te Puke Intermediate School

Te Puke Intermediate is a medium sized school with approximately 350 students, located in the town of Te Puke, which is just 20 minutes from the city of Tauranga and 10 minutes from beautiful beaches at Papamoa or Mount Maunganui.

Te Puke Intermediate is big enough to be able to offer a vast range of opportunities and experiences but small enough that staff and students all know one another.

Te Puke Intermediate is a ‘Middle School’, specialising in teaching a curriculum designed for Year 7 & 8 students (11-13 years of age). Everything that we do is designed to meet the needs of emerging adolescents as they discover where their strengths and interests lie.

Students have a home room teacher who looks after their pastoral needs but they move from class to class depending on their ability level and teaching group they are in.

Our local highschool has a well established International Department and we work closely with them to ensure strong educatioanl pathways and smooth transitions for all students. Tertiary study options include Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and University of Waikato.
