Saint Paul's Centre, empowering community in Kamo!
A community centre with a hall, kitchen, large lounge, small meeting rooms, offices and a church. We particularly welcome businesses and community organisations that contribute to wellbeing and have a caring, inclusive approach. Your organisation will contribute its special character to the centre, as well as very reasonable donations for hire.
The centre is used for both secular and religious activities, including a playgroup, well-child checks, stroke group, older persons social club, camera club, cake decorators, mainly music, Brownies, Girl's Brigade, Anglican worship, Cooperating parish worship, Syrian Orthodox worship, funerals & weddings.
Just contact our office regarding any of these, on Tues-Wed, Fri mornings. Email: saintpauls@kamo.org.nz or telephone 09-435 2396.
As a community centre with a special character, there is a worship space at its heart. It is a place both of holiness and community warmth.
Experienced and educated Anglican and Methodist/Presbyterian worship leaders are available to guide you through weddings, funerals, civil unions and other special events, which you might want to have a Christian, dual-faith, spiritual or non-spiritual nature. Some of the leaders are ordained as Anglican priests or Presbyterian ministers should that suit your needs.
Phone: the office 09 435 2396, the Cooperating Congregation Parish Minister Martin Dickson 09-459 1967, or the Anglican Congregation Administrator Jill Connop 09 435 2140.
We get together as a community every week, as well as on holy or social days: 10am on the 5th Sunday of a month for a whole community service of holy communion.
Anglican service 9am every Sunday. (except 5th Sunday). Led by the Kamo-Hikurangi Local Shared Ministry Team.
Co-operating (Methodist/Presbyterian) service 10:30am every Sunday (except 5th Sunday).
Led by the Saint Paul's Cooperating Church, Kamo and Kaurihohore.
Saint Paul's Parish is a Christian community that equally values the contributions of people of all genders and sexual orientations. Feel free to ring if you would like someone to talk with or a community where you can feel you belong.
