Like Tiri Tiri Matangi, Rotoroa Island is just a little over one hour by ferry from downtown Auckland. When we open, you will be able to enjoy beautiful beaches and bush walks and take in the history of Rotoroa Island in our soon to be built Visitor Centre.
The Rotoroa Island Trust has leased this wonderful island from The Salvation Army for the benefit of all New Zealanders and tourists alike. The island is being developed as a conservation park that will be opened to the public for the first time in over 100 years in late February 2011.
