Orokonui is a fantastic ecosanctuary situated close to Dunedin, free of pest animals where New Zealand's native flora and fauna thrive for all to experience.
The 307 hectare Ecosanctuary is home to some of New Zealands most fascinating and rare wildlife including kaka, jewelled gecko, tui, rifleman, brown creeper, bellbird, kereru, fern bird, grey warbler and fantail to name just a few. This safe haven provides visitors with an exceptional experience while allowing our native flora and fauna to live naturally in this protected habitat.
