Orama

Orama Christian Community has an emphasis on hospitality and welcome. It is not surprising then that we have hosted many organizations and groups over the years. These have ranged from mission organisations to the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre, (OPC) who currently lease a portion of the property to operate their marine base. Orama is also available for special interest groups, churches and organisations as a venue for camps and conferences.

The natural beauty of the location makes it an ideal place for rest and retreat. Consider looking out from your accommodation over a bay of sparkling blue water with the shadow of Little Barrier Island in the distance, bush covered hills echo to the sounds of kaka, tui, pigeon and morpork. The island offers a variety of outdoor activities and bush walks from the easily manageable to the more arduous. Choose from the stunning beauty of the long white sandy beaches or the dappled shade of the many tracks through native forest.
