Manfeild

Manfeild is a truly unique venue, considered one of New Zealand's most diverse event centres. Nestled in 88 hectares of parkland, Manfeild offers a flexible range of facilities that can be tailored to your individual needs including: A motor racing circuit, multi-purpose stadium, 80 m by 160 m outdoor arena, extensive grassed areas, grandstands, meeting and conference rooms.

Known for its world-class motor racing circuit - the longest with uninterrupted views in the Southern Hemisphere, Manfeild has hosted many world-class events, including three consecutive World Superbike Championship rounds, including two finals. It is now home to the New Zealand Grand Prix, contested by Toyota Racing Series, the only class in New Zealand motorsport that offers aspiring racers vital experience with wings, slicks and composite technologies. Toyota Racing Series nutures New Zealand's next generation of top level racing talent and is run by Toyota New Zealand, whose head office is located near to Manfeild.

The Manfeild Stadium is the biggest single-span building in the lower North Island. The central components are eight 71 metre steel spans, each weighing 20 tonnes. The floor area in entirety covers 7750 square metres, the roof area is even larger - 8000 square metres. The building can be configured to seat 5000 spectators, plus 400 in corporate boxes, and offers immediate parking for 650 vehicles.

The stadium arena was primarily designed for animal-friendly events, including international level equestrian competition, and certainly that has been a strong and ongoing use. However, the building has proven entirely suited to hosting activities well beyond that focus. It is a centrepiece facility for the region's largest regional agricultural and pastoral events, the Manawatu A and P Show and the Feilding IA and P Show.

It also transforms annually for three big animal events - the NZ Dairy Event, the Performance Beef Breeders Show and is massively reshaped to host the NZ Kennel Club’s National Dog Show. In May it becomes a giant greenhouse for the Manawatu Garden Festival, closely followed by a Hot Rod Show and Vintage Car Club Swap meet which reflects the stadium’s unique versatility.

It also shines on the social scene. It has proved perfect as the venue for a Highland Tattoo, a secondary schools' wearable arts show, and several big motorsport dinners.
