The exhibits and displays in the Museum reflect the varied and colourful history of the Kaikoura district. It has Plesiosaur bones in rock, Māori artifacts, approximately 20,000 photographs of people and places in the district as well as farming and fishing implements. The Museum also holds minute books and records belonging to various organisations in the district.
