Cooks Beach Vineyard

Cooks Beach Vineyard is located on an elevated, north facing site that looks out over Mercury Bay and the Coromandel Peninsula coastline of New Zealand.

The site is ideally located – capturing the most of summer’s long sunshine hours, and well-protected from the prevailing westerly winds. This location, coupled with a temperate climate, create uniquely-flavoured Coromandel wines.

All of the grapes that go into our wines are from Cooks Beach Vineyard. The grapes are hand-picked, and most vineyard operations – like leaf and fruit thinning, lateral plucking and pruning – are done by hand, by an enthusiastic team of locals.

The vineyard is carefully managed to optimize the quality of the grapes, resulting in low yield, intensely flavoured fruit.

Cooks Beach Vineyard’s objective is to make approachable, easy-to-drink wines, and we believe we have achieved this with our single grape, single vineyard Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
