The Cedar Centre is the home of the Birkdale Beach Haven Anglican Community Church. We have lovely grounds that may be used for outdoor weddings, a community garden and plenty of free parking. We have a 150 year chapel on the grounds that is used daily for prayer and for 8am Sunday Services. Our new buildings (circa 2010) include the church offices, foyer with a commercial kitchen and a large auditorium used for the 10am Sunday services, wedding and funerals.
We are a community based church and have many activities here during the week:
SPACE (Supporting Parents Alongside Childrens Education) on Mondays, mainly music on Tuesdays, Wednesday the AAW (Association of Anglican Women) meet once a month, Thursdays- our Selwyn group for the elderly, SupaKidz (our after school programme for primary age children), and the AA meet Thursday evenings.
We also offer a emergency foodbank and work closely with Interchurch North shore.
Our opportunity shop operates in Sunnyhaven Rd, Beach Haven and helps the wider community and assists us to fund the community activities of our Cedar Centre.
Our passion is for the health, and happiness of the families, especially the children in Beach Haven.
