This brand new facility completed in May 2008 is set in the Ashburton CBD; the heart of Mid Canterbury; located only one hour's drive south of Christchurch International Airport.

As the largest town in Mid Canterbury, Ashburton is the hub of the district with a friendly rural feel and flavour. Mid Canterbury is renowned for its agricultural and manufacturing prowess , its tourism attractions, including Mt Hutt Ski Area, its stunning high country lakes and man made Lake Hood, and its welcoming, enterprising population. Located on Wills Street, the Ashburton Trust Event Centre is only a short walking distance to the Ashburton CBD and a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants.

Accommodation options are only minutes away along East Street and in nearby suburbs. There is free car parking to the rear of the Ashburton Trust Event Centre with further parking available across the road in the Triangle Carpark.
