The Kelston Community Centre is a multi-functional complex. It is set in park surroundings at the top of Waikumete Hill, in Glendene.
The Centre consists of four individually hired rooms of varying sizes, suitable for a wide range of activities and functions such as:
- Weddings
- Concerts
- Festivals
- Markets
- Meetings
- Celebration parties
- Exhibitions
- Community based activities
The main hall has a capacity of 350 people and boasts a performance stage with backstage dressing rooms.
There is a well-equipped kitchen, which caters for the main hall. Kitchen facilities include:
- Two stoves
- Two fridges
- Microwave
- Pie-warmer
- Hot water zip
The two activity rooms each have a capacity of 150 people. One has carpet and one a wooden floor. Each room contains a fully equipped kitchen with facilities including a stove, fridge, cups, teapots, a microwave and hot water zip.
The committee room has the capacity for 50 people and is fully carpeted with a hot water zip machine with cups and a small sink.
On-site equipment available for hire includes OHP & screen and TV/video.
Our hirers offer a wide range of activities and programmes. Activities are available from many community groups and clubs who make the Centre their home.
Ample tables and chairs are provided for each room.
