The handsome Georgian-style residence which houses the Anderson Park Gallery Society's collection is set in 24 hectares (60 acres) of extensively landscaped gardens and lawns which are maintained by the Invercargill City Council for use as a public park.
In a secluded and tranquil setting, the Gallery is approached via a delightful winding drive through native bush. The Annual Spring Exhibition features top New Zealand artists as guests. There is an excellent collection of mainly New Zealand paintings, pottery and sculpture.
