Walk through the heart of the Puketi Forest and experience one of New Zealand's subtropical rainforests. Guided day and night walks are available with an experienced and knowledgeable local guide.

In the Puketi Forest nocturnal kiwis roam free, and the native bird song lilts through the day from the dawn chorus to dusk. You'll also see many other New Zealand native trees such as tawa, rimu, kawakawa and totora after I introduce you to the mighty kauri tree guardians. Experiencing the lush forest will give you a glimpse of what it was like on earth many years ago.

The Puketi forest is home to endangered species like the kokako bird and Giant Kauri Snails.
