Check out the "Extended Strings Concert" on 4th June. What an amazing line-up & range of styles. It's going to be VERY SPECIAL!! :)

The Feilding Hotel is hosting an exciting double-billed event, as part of the Manawatu Jazz Festival, on Saturday 29th May. The concert will feature two great bands with very different instrumental line-ups.

The first is "Jazz Talk Trio" featuring amazing Leed Jazz School graduate, guitarist Nigel Brooke, Sue Pugmire on vocals & Graeme Crehan on violin. This talented trio will delight you with a wide-ranging Jazz repertoire. They'll be playing from 4.30-7.30pm

At 7.30pm "The Sue Pugmire Combo", a 6 piece line-up featuring Chris Dann on piano, Stephanie McKenzie on sax & flute, David Iwikau on guitar, Matt Cave on bass & Earl Pollard on drums, & of course Sue Pugmire herself, will begin to play. Expect everything from slow ballads to fast Bebop & plenty of Latin & Improvisation. This "All Star" group really swings. They'll be playing until 10pm. Entry is FREE!
