• "what an opportunity for us again. I saw Stevie when I was young and wild. In the days when if it rained there was no concert. Stevie came out and silenced the crowd before apologising to us all that he couldn't play because it was too dangerous. For two nights this happened - I was so close I could have almost touched him in his metallic green Kaftan...I could feel his sincerity and his respect for us all - his fans - standing in the rain just to see and hear him. He was amazing. Unfortunately for me he played on the Monday and I didn't make it. Now hes back - Sadly his New Plymouth concert has been cancelled. It would have been a better venue than the indoor venue. Maybe we can convince him to come back in Jan '09 to perform at Parihaka. Mix it up with the lovely people in Taranaki."
