"Music is an incredible thing with it's ability to bring people together, to change a mood, to lift, to encourage. There is healing in music and Johnny Clegg's music has gone a long way to healing many rifts both in his home land and abroad.
For me, my inspiration is anyone who dares to be different, to challenge the norm, to stand up for the less fortunate. I it when people are able to reach past their own 'norm' and leverage the power around them. In this case we see Johnny pulling in music influences from around his life and using them to unite and heal.
I hope & pray my daughter grows up with new inspirations, who can challenge her to be all she can be. As for me, I still listen to Johnny (and others) when I need an extra bit of omph in my life."
