"We were out fishing in the Hauraki gulf and I decided to have a swim as it was a nice windless sunny day. Suddenly a shark came alond and bit my foot off. My parents were quick to pull me out of the water and rush me ashore to Auckland hospital. Meanwhile another fisherman had caught the shark having heard of my predicament, opened it up and rushed my foot to hospital where it was successfully re-attached."
"I am nostalgic about the times that neighbours used to talk to each other. They didn't have to lock their doors or have house alarms. One would visit for an unplanned cup of tea and a chat. A visit to the shops with a neighbour by shanks pony and not by car. Coffee would be provided next door not by a cafe. Oh for the good old times!"
"I was born in Sheerness, Kent, UK and lived in both England and Scotland before emigrating to New Zealand. I have travelled all around NZ and lived in Devonport and Wellington. I now live in Takapuna. Lenny Henry's TV shows were brilliant."
