"He needs to be cheered up so I would give him a big teddy bear and flowers to take home so he can get a good rest, have a shave and face the day in a more positive frame."
"What battle of the sexes. I always win because I am right and my partner is wrong. I found out that I was wrong once but then I discovered I had been mistaken."
"I do mind when I get an email to say I have won tickets and go Yay!!! but then the tickets never arrive and I try and track them down but am told they were delivered here when I know they weren't because someone was home the whole time and we were expecting them and they never arrived and I never normally lose anything from my letter box because my neighbour watches for burglars all day and I keep my plants in the front garden pruned so he can see my letter box just in case a burglar might come along. He has to keep watch all day and night in case UFO's are stealing my local newspaper because this happened to him a few years ago where they created a vacuum and took his newspaper out of his hands and lifted it up to a waiting spaceship situated above his house in Sandringham, Auckland. So!!!! If the ticket was delivered by eventfinder I would have got it and would have gone Yay!!! but it did not and this is what I mind."
"I have grown accustomed to feeling cheerful whenever I hear music from "My Fair Lady". It is a wacky story though with some pretty strange people. What about that crusty old guy, Prof Higgins and the love sick Freddy who seems to be bone idle."
"Staying up by wrapping a slinky piece of cloth around your ankle is the act that gets my pulse racing. You do not just have to hold on with your hands you have to wind and unwind yourself to stay up. Every part of you must be so fit as you could be hanging by one or both legs or by your arms. Scary stuff!!!"
"Coming down a steep hill and seeing a logging truck coming along on the other side of the road was OK. But what then happened wasn't. A Car decided to pass it and it checked if there was any thing coming by pulling over the centre line right into our path. The driver decided to try to make it through the 2 metres between our car and the logging truck and surprise surprise did not fit. He wiped out on side of our car but not us thank goodness."
"Fine wine and legendary performances from Jose Careras and Anna Leese. What better way to spend time than with the worlds best tenor and a selection of Hawkes Bay wines. Pure Magic!!!!"
"Visits to the zoo to see Kashin, running through the museum to see the mummy, days at the beach with no sunscreen and peeling the skin off my burnt nose afterwards, going to the circus, leaving the door unlocked when we went out because no one had ever heard of houses being burgled, catching the bus to town and the driver having to change gear about 5 times to get up Khyber Pass, huge queues for the pictures and getting an icecream at half time, not walking too close to the pub at 5.45 pm in case a drunk came out and fell on you, ferry rides to Waiheke that took hours and walking on the gravel roads when we got there, free milk at school that got a bit warm on sunny days, home made icecream because it was too expensive for mum to buy it, the sound of the milk man in the morning with the rattling crates, running bare footed and lots of stubbed toes, the Good Night Kiwi, marching around the playgound at school, bicycles with three gears, sun, sun and more sun in the summer."
