  • "It was another amazing event run by Te Horo School Home and School Committee. With such a diverse range of talented parents to call on the event was a sellout success with well over $4,000 raised towards our new school hall. Once again the food and drink was superb, the Goodie Bags amazing and the fashion show a runaway success. Plans are already in place for next year’s annual event with many already pre-booking tables. What we did this year was include some of our schoolchildren in the day with the helping. Our year 8 girls were fantastic as the waitresses for the day. We then used younger girls with raffles, ushering, selling and modeling. They see the hard work their parents put in and want to be involved. It was a win win situation for all as they are learning new skills and benefiting from the fundraising from the day. I"

  • "Fantastic event. Great turn out of people in costume. Partied on until the wee small hours. Going to be bigger and better next year."

  • "What better way was there to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon than with good friends enjoying decadent food, drink and entertainement. It was an amazing afternoon and we thank all our sponsors and support who helped raise $4,200 for the school."

  • "Te Horo School's Country Fair last Saturday was an amazing day. The crowds were queuing again at the gates to get in. Cars were parked all the way up and down School Road. So after a wet week the weather gods were kind to us putting on a mild sunny afternoon. Mrs. Jacqui Simpson Home and School Chairman said the final tally this year was an extraordinary $29,000 +, considerably well up on last year. Not bad for a little country school with a roll of 150. School principal Craig Vidulich was overwhelmed with the local community that gives so much of themselves to make the day such a success. This being his first fair he had been told it was the biggest fundraising day on the school's calendar but was blown away with how it all came together on the day. Wanting to give something back, this year Craig said we decided to have a donation box at the gate for Christchurch Earthquake victims which raised over $800."
