  • "I usually go all out and see and do everything when I go away, so coming back home first means shutting all the curtains and reveling in the deliciously familiar softness and smell of my own bed!"

  • "The contortionists, how a human being manages to twist themselves into a baked salty snack is beyond me, it looks excruciating so to see it being performed without flinching is truly amazing!"

  • "I hope he won't read this but the look of my partner when he gets up in the morning is always priceless, a mix of hazy slumber, denial that it's in fact time to wake up, followed by heavy resignation, combined with a zombie walk and bed hair, it's FUN-NY"

  • "Being that Kanye thinks so highly of himself (deservedly, mind you), he should probably sample a classic Queen song, like "We are the Champions", that would go down a treat!"

  • "My dad had this huge collection of vinyls he collected over the years, real classic stuff like the Stones, Cream, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, and of course, Eric Clapton. I used to spend hours going through the albums, studying their cool covers (I was about 9 at the time) and listening to the songs that my dad recommended, it was what we loved to do together the most. I miss that."

  • "I would LOVE to see Jason Mraz play Southern Amp, if you don't know who he is, look him up, he's constantly touring the globe and with a bit more of a fan base in NZ, he's sure to stop by! Really, really good."

  • "You have to come back, NZ loves you so much as in Oz, everything wants to kill us: crocs, snakes, spiders, sharks... Much safer here!"

  • "Autumn in North America. There is something incredibly moving about the fiery leaves and the lower sunlight on the horizon. It makes me think of warm jumpers and camp fires at dusk. Magic!"

  • "My most memorable concert moment was way back in the mid-nineties, my dad took a friend and I to see the Def Leppard Adrenalize tour date in Montreal and as my friend and I were thoroughly enjoying the music, dancing and singing along, one member of the band's crew dropped in and said it was great to see such fans having a great time and gave us each an autographed photo of the guys... I still have it! It was awesome!"
