"I think my husband was rather romantic when he finally got around to asking me to marry him. We had been going out for exactly four years when one beautiful night while sitting in a open roofed spa pool, he told me about this dream he had where he had a serious accident and was lying in the hospital bed thinking how he missed the oppurtunity in spending the rest of his life with me!!!! I know it sounds corny but it's true. He asked me there and then to marry him, then went to ask my Dad for my hand in marriage as well. 24 years later we have three wonderful children and have a wonderful time still together. We do have the odd night away alone, flowers on the odd occasions to say thanks for picking me and lovely dinners just the two of us. We have worked hard to get where we are in life, including nursing his Dad with stomach cancer after his Mum died suddenly with a brain stem stroke and my Dad dropping dead as well. I think that these events have made our marriage and life closer. Hes not only my husband but a friend to me and a loving father to our kids. We could both do with a night out at Phantom of the Opera, sitting side by side holding hands and being engulfed in the world of the Phantom."
