  • "Correction - seeing the Adult A Reserve Tiered price as $0.00, ie FREE, I checked the Opera Factory website and found the Adult A Reserve Tiered price is $35, not free! There was obviously a mistake here."

  • "We explored two bush reserves near Albany, with Hugh and Di who had been creating tracks in these reserves as well as some in Torbay. It was interesting listening to them tell us about the native trees, including kauris. At one stage we carried some planks of wood that would be part of the improvements to the track, as a way of thanking them. During a break in our walk Brita shared Psalm 139, on how we are wonderfully made, and presented a challenge to show acts of kindness to people we find it hard to get on with."

  • "Eighteen people enjoyed an easy walk along the coastline of Te Atatu peninsula, looking out across Waitemata Harbour to Auckland City. Highlights of the walk included a brief reflection on our love relationship with God and Jesus, an old brick house built in 1909, and some World War II gun emplacements."

  • "We took advantage of a low tide to walk along the coast from Hatfields to Waiwera, followed by a walk up to the clifftop lookout and down to the Wenderholm carpark. A few of us had a look inside Coudrey House. Afterwards we went to a member's home at Red Beach for the club's end-of-year BBQ. The formal part of the evening included some games, carol singing around the piano and guitar, and a reflection on the Star of Bethlehem."

  • "Twenty people and one dog did an interesting walk from East Coast Rd through Centennial Park to the coast, seeing some World War II bunkers on the way. We returned along the lovely Avenue of Remembrance, pausing for a few minutes to listen to a reading of Psalm 148 a poem of praise to the Creator. Afterwards we went to a member's home nearby for afternoon tea."

  • "Thirty-seven people had a lovely time climbing up from Karekare to the clifftops to see the spectacular wild west coastline and view the inaccessible Mercer Bay. Some of us used GPS receivers to find a Geocache in the bush, and we also enjoyed a short reflection on one of the Psalms. Afterwards quite a few of us had a lovely pot-luck BBQ at a member's home nearby."
