"As a shapeshifter? Something that can breathe underwater, like a dolphin. My dad used to tell my sister and I adventure stories where we'd swim deep down into the ocean (to the palace of the Sea King, might I add!), and breathe as effortlessly as we do on land. I'd imagine it as a child and long for it to be true... what beautiful freedom!"
