"Otaki Gorge/Forks. Without a doubt, this place is magical. Theres a river, tiered camping sites, walks and tracks and forests and native bush entirely surrounding ya about 20min from the highway. Theres no smell but fresh, clean air and the unspoilt surroundings massage the eyes to putty. The undulating Tararua ranges glow like warm muffins as the sun sets, the creatures settle and the moreporks pipe up as the raw bush cools and waits to cup you in its bosom.
Serious, thats all exactly how it feels.
