  • "Whether you're an emo, a rocker, a punk or just someone who enjoys good music - My Chemical Romance is for you. Having seen them on their last trip to New Zealand at the 2007 BDO I can say from experience they are a band to be viewed at full volume! Their live act is phenomonal with all the hits (particularly from The Black Parade) being belted out with passion and talent. They will leave you singing their anthems for days. "

  • "Dance to rhythm of the Jambalaya beat Let the music playing start to move your feet Let it rise from the earth up through your body The same atmosphere will surround everybody One of joy and intrigue, aspiration and awe You're senses crave to simply take in more A feast for the eyes, a tonic for the soul Let the beat of the drums continue to roll May the performers excel for all to see And who knows, after a workshop that performer may be me Food from all nations and beautiful scenery The only thing missing at the moment is me What an event to start the year off right Music, circus and dance for two spectacular nights What a perfect event for ones truly in love And free tickets would be like a gift from above Young love at its peak waiting to celebrate My new fiancee would definitely be my date... ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ "

  • "BDO 2008 - what an unholy amalgamation of metal, rock, hip hop and more. I am an avid BDO fan and can tell all the BDO virgins out there that once you've popped that Mt Smart virginity you'll be back for more regardless of the bands playing! HOWEVER - this year - what a treat! A veritable smorgasboard of entertainment with something for everyone! My personal faves - internationally would have to be Rage Against the Machine. Songs to instantly take you back to teenage years where finding a ride to a party was the biggest issue of the week! Lyric yelling, body stomping bliss in a sea of fans - I have no doubt! Locally though this year is better than I could have imagined! Katchafire and Tiki ALWAYS please so if you're into dancing in the sunshine and feeling the love don't miss these fantastic performers! Opshop, Supergroove and The Checks are also must sees! And lastly - Krafty Kuts - a blast from my London past on Aotearoa soil! Can't wait to check them!!!! ^0^"

  • "What an incredible production! Goose bumps, shivers and the exciting 'wanna dance in the aisles' feeling that only Queen music can give you. Absolutely superb - would definitely go again - and again!"
