Located in the old Papakura Fire Station on Averill Street. Administered by the Papakura District Council, its role is to support the promotion of the artist in the district and support the growing number of professional,
semi-professional and bourgeoning artists of the community.

A key role is to create an exhibition programme which enhances and supports community development . Exhibitions are supported with interpretive material. Some exhibition contain work the is for sale, and others are purely educational. It is planned that the annual exhibition programme will compliment and support festivals in the district, as well as covering a wide range of media, and both historical and contemporary topics.
